二次量子科技革命 理學院規劃「量子技術學程」

鑑於量子科技將成為未來的主流趨勢,理學院光電系陳彥宏教授12月18日邀請臺大IBM量子電腦中心主任張慶瑞特聘教授蒞校演講。張教授是臺灣量子計算的領頭人物,未來理學院將與張教授及訪問學者程思誠教授合作規劃「量子技術學程」,讓中央大學的年輕學子們在最尖端量子技術的競爭中搶得先機!
量子科技已經不是一項「新興科技」了,從普朗克的黑體輻射能量公式造成第一次量子科技革命算起,已經過去了百餘年。如今,第二次量子革命的時代悄然到來,全球各國蓄勢待發,包括美國、歐盟與日本都在2018年以不同的形式向世界宣告,並凝聚大量資源投入開發。
量子計算為何如此重要?張慶瑞教授引用美國物理學家理察·費曼的名言:「自然不是古典的(classical),如果想要模擬自然,最好使其量子化。」量子計算的運用非常廣泛「它可以用在所有地方」張慶瑞說。
量子的概念其實並不好解釋,有些人還將其歸類為「玄學」。張慶瑞教授引用許多生活中的概念來比喻,讓聽眾從不同角度理解量子疊加、量子糾纏、量子測量與希爾伯特空間。
由於急遽上升的人才需求,張慶瑞教授積極推動科普教育與人才培育,將來的高中課程可能很快就會出現相關的選修課。他認為,現在二十歲以下的年輕人必定要經歷量子新時代,所以有必要讓這群決定年輕人未來的人們了解到量子科技的重要性。
